Stone Magnet · Banksy - Flower Thrower (White)

Flower Thrower, also known as "Love is in the Air", was painted by Banksy in 2003 on a wall in Beit Sahour near Bethlehem. A protester with a scarf over his face and a cap worn backwards is captured at the moment of the throw; but instead of a Molotov cocktail or stone, he holds a colourful bouquet of flowers. That peace appears where violence is expected made the work one of the strongest symbols of peace in street art. The contrast between the dynamic black figure and the bright colours of the bouquet makes the message readable at a glance. The white background of this version looks especially clear and draws the eye straight to the flowers.

A reminder, for everyone who stood in front of this protester at the exhibition, that even a stone can carry a message of peace.

For the kitchen, the magnetic board at your workplace or as a gift for people you want to share a message of peace and hope with.
