Poster · Banksy - Shave Kong

Shave Kong is a stencil work closely tied to the London street art scene that winks at the King Kong legend. A giant gorilla wearing a black beret, in the style of a French painter, crouches on a paint bucket and paints the wall with a paint roller. The roller reads "Shave Kong". The gorilla's confident pose, eyeing the viewer almost sceptically, brings together the figure of the artist and the image of the wild animal, and asks who actually gets to make art or claim a wall for themselves. The neon green and pink patterns in the background make the black-and-white figure stand out with almost psychedelic energy.

An energetic reminder for everyone who looked this beret-wearing gorilla in the eye in our exhibition. And for everyone just discovering street art, a colourful way into a humour that pokes fun at wall culture itself.

With its bold colours, it brings daring energy to young living rooms, creative studios or agency offices. A funny gift for painters, sprayers and everyone who loves unusual decor!
