Poster · Banksy - The Slave Labour
We will send you a notification as soon as this product is available again.
The Slave Labour appeared in May 2012 on a shop wall in north London, in the Wood Green district. A small boy kneels at a sewing machine, stitching Union Jack bunting. Amid the fuss around the Queen's Jubilee and the London Olympics, the work drew attention to the cheap child labour behind such celebrations. That it was removed from the wall and auctioned in 2013 only made the debate bigger.
A thoughtful reminder for everyone who learned the story of this boy in our exhibition. And for everyone seeing the work here for the first time, a way to keep a picture that vanished from the wall alive at home.
Becomes a strong reminder in a study, reading nook or socially engaged office. A meaningful gift for people with an eye for social issues!
