Floating Girl is considered one of the works Banksy painted on the West Bank barrier in 2005. A little girl holds on to a bunch of balloons and floats over the wall, beyond all borders. Reduced stencil lines and the weightless pose of the figure make the work a poetic tale of the dream of freedom. The contrast between the heaviness of the wall and the lightness of the girl is a reminder that hope can rise even in the most difficult places.
The real surprise comes in motion: tilt the bookmark back and forth and Floating Girl turns into Banksy's most iconic work, Girl with Balloon. From the girl rising with balloons to the girl losing her balloon; two works in one bookmark, a little game in every reading break.
Between the pages of a book, the same feeling: with every reading break, a small escape into another world. A delicate keepsake for everyone who encountered the work at the exhibition.
A gift for novel readers, fans of travel literature, or people who follow their dreams.
