Magnet · Banksy - Girl with Balloon

Girl with Balloon is Banksy's best-known work worldwide. It first appeared in London in 2002, on the steps to Waterloo Bridge on the South Bank. A little girl in black stencil technique reaches out for a red, heart-shaped balloon that the wind carries away; the red heart, the only color in the scene, immediately draws the eye. Whether the girl is letting go of the balloon or trying to hold on to it remains open, and it is precisely this openness that makes the motif a universal image of loss, hope and love. When the work was partially shredded at Sotheby's in 2018, right after the hammer fell, by a mechanism hidden in the frame, it made art history.

One of the smallest but most striking reminders of our exhibition.

For the fridge, the magnetic board or as a little surprise for loved ones.
