Stone Magnet · Banksy - Girl with Balloon

Girl with Balloon is Banksy's most famous work worldwide. It first appeared in 2002 in London, on the steps to Waterloo Bridge on the South Bank. A little girl in black stencil technique reaches out for a red, heart-shaped balloon that the wind carries away; the heart, the only colour in the scene, immediately draws the eye. Whether the girl is letting go of the balloon or trying to hold on to it remains open, and it is precisely this openness that makes the motif a universal image of loss, hope and love. When the work was partially shredded at Sotheby's in 2018, immediately after the hammer fell, by a mechanism hidden in the frame, it made art history.

On the natural stone texture, this delicate image becomes a lasting, tangible reminder of our exhibition.

For the fridge, the magnetic board or as a lovely little gift for Banksy fans.
