Stone Magnet · Banksy - Love Rat

Love Rat is the most romantic of the rats that Banksy left on London's streets in the early 2000s; in 2004 the motif was also released as a limited print. In Banksy's work, rats stand for the overlooked, unwanted and yet omnipresent inhabitants of the city. Here the little rat stands with a spray can in its hand in front of a large red heart that it has just sprayed on the wall. The contrast between the black stencil figure and the bright red heart tells of how love can bloom even in the unnoticed corners of the city. Banksy's sharp humour turns soft here and becomes a warm declaration of love.

From the street wall onto stone: a small declaration of love and a charming reminder for everyone who went rat-hunting at the exhibition.

For your partner, your flatmate or as a small, lasting housewarming gift.
